¿Cómo puedo hacer que elementos tipográficos atraigan al espectador?
Este fue un proyecto con cuatro versiones principales. La primera propuesta estaba muy influenciada por una estética de los años 50, pero no tenía la diversión que buscaba para este proyecto; quería que el espectador viera el póster y sintiera el calor emanando de él. Una vez que decidí aplicar el proceso de Form(a) y usarlo en la tipografía del título, todo lo demás empezó a fluir de manera orgánica y natural. Le presté atención a los principios de contraste, jerarquía y (a)simetría, para que el resultado final fuera atractivo pero también legible.
How can I make the viewer playfully engage with elements of typography?
This was a project with four main iterations. The first approach was heavily influenced by a 1950's aesthetic, but lacked the playfulness that I was looking for in this assignment; I wanted the viewer to be drawn towards the poster, feeling the heat emanating from it. Once I decided to revisit the process I developed for Form(a) and use it in the typeface of the title, everything else seemed to fall into place quite easily. Special attention was given to the principles of contrast, hierarchy and symmetry, to have a final result that was eye-catching yet readable.
Estuve realmente influenciado por la palabra CALIENTE, que dictó la mayoría de los elementos que conforman al póster: el color, las "olas de calor" del texto y las letras, que parecen estar incenciándose. El póster final mide 76 cm por 100 cm.

I was really influenced by the word HOT, that dictated most of the elements on display: the color, the "heat waves" of text, and the letters, that seem to be catching fire. The final poster was 30 in by 40 in.

Using the key words of HOT and SHINY as a starting point, I developed this expressive poster that showcased the oven's functions in a playful (and delicious) manner.
