¿Cómo puedo volver a familiarizarme con objetos de uso cotidiano? 

 

Este ejercicio de ver objetos de uso cotidiano desde una perspectiva diferente resultó ser muy útil, porque llegó el punto en el que dejé de pensar de qué estaban hechos los objetos y me enfoqué en sus cualidades intrínsecas. De esta forma, una lupa, que por lo general se utiliza para agrandar objetos, pasó a ser un portal por el cual pasa la luz, con la misma fluidez que el agua. Estas transiciones tan naturales de la luz resultaron en una combinación de trabajo a mano y tecnología, donde la mano se mueve junto con la luz, mientras que la tecnología captura esta danza fluida. Los resultados invitan a los espectadores a cuestionarse si están viendo una fotografía, un dibujo, una instalación o todos los anteriores. Estos estudios funcionan muy bien como un lienzo para hacer trabajo gráfico.

How can I get reacquainted with everyday objects? 

 

This exercise of seeing everyday objects from a different perspective proved being quite useful, because at one point I stopped thinking about what the objects were made to do and I focused on their intrinsic qualities. This way, a magnifying glass, which is usually used to enlarge objects, became a portal through which light passed through, with the same fluidity of water. This seamless transitions of the light resulted in a combination of hand-work and technology, where the hand moved along with the light, while technological equipment captured this swift dance. The results invite the viewer to question if what they are seeing is a photography, a drawing, an installation or all of the above. These studies can be great canvases for graphic work.
